hi to all. I don't expect anyone to really reply to this post and its up to u if u wanna reply. i'm fine with it. Just here to voice my opinions and feelings.
People keep asking me " which do u put 1st? guitar or drums?"
They say that because you're playing both instruments, you're split between both instruments and taht you're not good at all. if i say i prefer guitar, people start comparing me to sam wong. when i say i prefer drums, people will compare me to joel mo and zec.
I dun see the point in all this comparing. i don't really care what these people think, but when u hear it, it damages the spirit and discourages it. I just try to play to the best of my ability. i play for my one and only god, no one else.my audience is of one. Though i favour drums more, i don't intend to pull out of team 2 to polish up my drums. i feel that this is my calling, that God wants me to serve him in whatever way i can to the best of my ability.
I know i may not meet up to many people's expectations but i'm just taking my time. i may not progress as fast in drums as joel mo or guitar like sam wong.
Some of it is contructive criticism, i know, but not criticizing someone till the person feels he is useless and stuff.
So i wan to say to all those out there if u read this post. You know who you are. i don't expect an apology or anything, i just wan to serve God. I dun mind u asking me which do i prefer and hear me voice my opinion, but i won't drop either instrument just for the sake of the other.
I want to thank my God, who's been there for me, Lionel, Nicholas, Joshua, Alvin Lim and Evelyn for the experience and Joy you've brought to me.
Thanks also to Pastor Kenny and Pastor Mary for all your encouragements. thanks Pastor Kenny for asking me to climb Mt Kinabalu with u. It has changed my Life.
